LG Watch Urbane is one of the few smartwatches that can compete with the Apple Sport Watch . Together with Huawei Watch Rose Gold , the LG Watch Urbane Wearable Smart Watch looks like a real watch and it’s extremely fashionable.
Essentially, this watch is the pricier version of its younger brother, the LG Electronics G.
However, just below couple hundreds, the Urbane is twice as cheaper as Apple Sport and four times less cheap than Huawei Rose Gold.
LG Watch Urbane Fashionable Design
The LG Watch Urbane looks similar to a traditional watch, and it’s definitely not a sport-focused watch, like its predecessor or many other smartwatches in its price range. It features a round 1.3” display, but it is definitely not equipped with all the bells and whistles of most expensive smartwatches.
However, the display is quite crisp and clear, and the resolution is astounding.
The proportions of the Urbane are just perfect, unlike the dimensions of the Moto 360 or Pebble Time Steel. The side button which resembles the crown buttons of classical wristwatches acts as the Google Now voice command.
LG Watch Urbane Apps
Even though Android Wear might have its own issues, LG is such a great brand that makes the Urbane worth considering. One of the reasons why this watch is a great buy is that you have access to a wide variety of apps. For instance, the Dial apps allow you to dial any number you wish without taking your phone out of your pocket.
This smartwatch is also equipped with two excellent heart rate apps, the LG one and the Google Fit. The LG app is much better designed, enabling you to see how certain activities affect your rate and put a strain on your body.
LG Watch Urbane Features
Even though this smartwatch supports Wi-Fi, you need to have your phone connected to the Internet in order to have Internet access to your smartphone. For instance, you can leave your smartphone at home while it is connected to the Internet, and you can continue to have internet access to your watch even when you leave home.
The battery is not great, even though the LG Watch Urbane can easily make it through the whole day. If you choose to use the Wi-Fi too, you might reduce the battery life from 30 hours to 10 or even less.
Due to the fact that this smartwatch is IP67 rated, it should be resistant to water and dust. You can submerge it for up to 30 minutes in water 1 meter deep.
LG Watch Urbane Pros

The Bottom Line
All in all, the LG Watch Urbane Wearable Smart Watch is a solid product with a great, classy design and a multitude of features. To top it all, it costs half of what you would pay for an Apple Watch Sport.
